The style and package you choose depends on how detailed you want your wedding day to be. Some couples choose to have a short and simple ceremony with just a few guests. Other couples want a medium size wedding that has all the essentials of a wedding ceremony, perhaps held at a private home or in a park, with more guests in attendance. And then there are other couples who want to have a large wedding with all the pomp and ceremony that will make your day extraordinary.

Whatever you decide, our packages and fees will fit in your wedding plans. You have the choice to keep it simple, elope if you wish, or enjoy the pomp and ceremony of an elegant wedding day.

ESCAPE PACKAGE – $225

For the couple who want to elope with a quick and simple “no frills” legal ceremony

This package does not include a written ceremony and is designed to fulfil only the basic legal requirements of a marriage and the signing of an Ontario Marriage Licence.  This package includes the bride and groom and two (2) witnesses only.

Please Note: This package is not available on Saturday from May 1st to October 31st

ESSENTIAL PACKAGE – $300

For the couple who want a weekday wedding with the essentials of a ceremony

• Your location: hotel complex, golf & country club, park, chapel, banquet hall, private residence
• Consultation meeting face-to-face, or by email, phone, or video
• Choice of three ceremonies with assistance to personalize and create your own style
• Printed booklet of ceremony

Note: Monday to Thursday only, not available on Statutory Holidays or New Year’s Eve

ELEGANT PACKAGE – $375

For the couple wanting a wedding with elegance or a causal simple ceremony.  Always your choice!

• Your location: hotel complex, golf & country club, park, chapel, banquet hall, private residence
• Unlimited consultation meetings face-to-face, and by email, phone, or video
• Choice of five or more ceremonies with assistance to personalize and create your own style
• Printed booklet of ceremony

ENDLESS PACKAGE (Renewal of Vows) – $325

For the couple who want to ‘Do It All Over Again’

• Your location: hotel complex, golf & country club, park, chapel, banquet hall, private residence
• Consultation meeting face-to-face, or by email, phone or video
• Assistance to create a customized “Renewal of Vows” ceremony
• Printed booklet of ceremony

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• $100 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking to secure your ceremony date. The balance is to be paid one week before your ceremony
• An appropriate travel allowance applies to locations outside Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge
• $100 Rehearsal Fee (plus mileage if applicable)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Initial Meeting and Consultation

• By phone, video, email or in person
• Get to know your officiant, review sample ceremonies, have questions answered, and become inspired, confident & excited about your ceremony

Ceremony Resources

• Receive sample ceremonies that you can customize to suit your own style, OR
• Choose to use one of several pre-created ceremonies

Follow Up Consultation

• In-person or phone “Review of the Ceremony” to finalize your ceremony content and details of your big day

Rehearsal

• Depending on your ceremony, rehearsals can be a very helpful and practical way to prepare for your big day. Take the pressure off so you can focus on each other instead of the details!
• If you decide to have a rehearsal, we will help to direct it in consolation with the bride and groom, as well as all those who are assisting: wedding planner, DJ, musicians, venue coordinator, etc.

Wedding Day Ceremony

• Your wedding is a very special day and should be the happiest day of your lives. There are many appointments to keep – hair dresser, manicures, photo shoots – but your ceremony time is the most important appointment to keep!
• We will arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony and coordinate with your wedding party, musicians, DJ, readers, and wedding planner to ensure everyone is ready-to-go
• Thank you for starting your wedding on time! This will allow us to conduct your wedding proficiently. Help to make your day enjoyable by encouraging your guests to arrive on time and being on time yourselves

Marriage Registration

After your wedding, it is our responsibility to:

• Mail completed forms to the government to register your marriage
• File a registry form, the legal affidavit copy of your original registration
