The Marriage Vows

I, John, take you Jane to be my wife,
To laugh with you in joy,
To grieve with you in sorrow,
To grow with you in love,
To be faithful to you alone,
For as long as we both shall live.

I, Jane, take you John to be my husband,
To laugh with you in joy,
To grieve with you in sorrow,
To grow with you in love,
To be faithful to you alone,
For as long as we both shall live.

The Exchanging of the Rings

From the elements of the earth, through work and faith, were taken the materials for these rings. Just as from the elements of life and emotion came your desire for this marriage. May these golden circles, emblems of an untarnished eternity, be the sign and seal of a pure and imperishable love, now mutually pledged.

John: with all my love I give you this ring, an everlasting symbol of the vows that we have made to each other, and as a token of my love.

Jane: with all my love I give you this ring, an everlasting symbol of the vows that we have made to each other, and as a token of my love.
